Streamline Stuttgart

Built as Schocken department store in 1926-1928, this building was an icon of modern architecture and the trademark of its architect, Erich Mendelsohn.

Photographed in 1955, five years before demolition.

Is really sad, not being able to visit certain buildings. this reminds me of the "Edificio de Usos Multiples II" in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with few differences. Can you see in the google Images

Demolition of the Schocken/Merkur building was probably the most stupid act of Stuttgart municipality. Thanks for the tip, the structure you mentioned is really nice.
